ReplyDeleteThis was so helpful for me. I had never actually given a running record, so this was definitely a learning experience. In the classroom I was in, there was a sub, but she was so helpful. She went through a running record and gave us all of the explanations we needed to do one ourselves. She was also helpful in giving some of her experiences in a classroom. She met with us before and after we had administered the running records. This was very helpful. Often, I do not realize what questions I would have until after I have done the task. I am also so thankful to Mrs. Davis. She is my practicum teacher, and has been wonderful to work with. Thank you guys so much for letting us come in and work with your students. They were all so wonderful. Thanks again.

We are so close to having classrooms of our own and I believe these opportunities to work hands on with students to practice these assessments are some of the most important things that we are learning at this time. I was impressed at how the class handled so many Tech students coming in, everyone stayed on task and continued working. The teacher in our class was very helpful and encouraging. She gave us practical advice about student teaching and job interviews. Hope the Thanksgiving feast went well!
